The Gas Turbine Diesel Engine

The inwardly opposed gas turbine diesel engine shown here is just one example of the rapid design, optimization, prototyping and testing performed by the TECAT engineering team. TECAT Engineering’s own Giesel Opposed Piston Diesel Engine Simulation, GOPDES, includes complex turbomachinery models, injection and air bypass optimization algorithms and a thermal network model. The GOPDES model was created using TECAT Engineering's Virtual Dyno software package, which was customized for this military application engine.
